Made using Unreal Engine 4, this remake of classic Bioware RPG Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic by Apeiron, looks to take the game and rebuild it into a shinier, prettier, modern-day version. Footage of the pre-pre-Alpha version has surfaced and it certainly looks promising. As to whether or not the project will get shut-down it's being described as a mod, and will potentially require a copy of the original game to run.

But beyond the legal grey area, remaking and rebuilding a game with the size and scope of KOTOR is certainly ambitious. And even though the locations we see so far are fairly detailed and nice to look at, getting everything else in there may prove too big a task. Well, possibly. Developer Apeiron is currently looking for collaborators and is even thining about a possible crowd-funded effort to make this project a reality. Check out the footage, courtesy of YouTuber MrMattyPlays.

Sci fi city assets do not a game make.

Looks like a lot of work, but doesn't look like Kotor in any noticeable way.

Yeah, thats not gameplay, thats just making a level in UE4 and spawning the default player controller so you can run around in it.
