At a recent conference in Monaco some of the early environment and weather design was showcased from the recently crowdfunded Shenmue 3. But be warned the footage was captured from the audience, so it's a little hard to make out what it really looks like. Also the screenshots, taken from an update from the official Kickstarter page, are pretty small. But hey, late '90s style tiny screens and low res video is probably the ideal way to hype up a new Shenmue game.

Even though these are obviously quite early, the environments look way more detailed than anything seen in older Shenmue games. But, as those game dealt with more urban and suburban environments it'll be interesting to see some of the more built up Shenmue 3 locations.

And here's the video.

Hopefully this means we start to see more from the game in the coming months.
