When it comes to looking at the minimum and recommended system requirements for an upcoming PC release, your train of thought varies based on how long ago you updated your rig. If it happened less than a year ago, and you allocated money for cooling, then looking at these hardware listings is an exercise in "Recommended? More like what you need to run it in super low res 1080p at a pitiful 60fps." Dear fellow Master Racers, here be thine hardware requirements for the upcoming Far Cry Primal from Ubisoft.

Minimum

  • OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-550; AMD Phenom II X4 955 or equivalent
  • Memory: 4GB
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 (1GB VRAM); AMD Radeon HD 5770 (1GB VRAM) or equivalent
  • Hard Disk Space: 20 GB

Recommended

  • OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K; AMD FX-8350 or equivalent
  • Memory: 8GB
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780; AMD Radeon R9 280X or equivalent
  • Hard Disk Space: 20 GB

Far Cry Primal is out March 1 for PC, and February 23 for Xbox One and PS4.

Not just you. Nothing i have seen from this game has enthused me.

Take away the fun bits of Farcry (guns and explosives) include all the same animals but add sabertooths and mammoths and call it stone age.

Thats what it seems like to me.

I'm kinda interested. Won't get it day one but will likely pick it up a few months after release.
