Pre-orders for the highly anticipated virtual-reality-helmet-thing Oculus Rift open tomorrow. And as a big all-caps THANK YOU to the early adopters who pledged support for a Rift development kit, Oculus will be providing a Kickstarter Edition Oculus Rift for free to those backers. To claim your free Rift all you'll need to do is fill out a Kickstarter survey before February 1, assuming you're one of the early adopters. If not, you'll need to purchase one the old fashioned way. And then use it to travel back in time to make yourself eligible. Because let's face it, the Oculus Rift is probably a secret time machine.
