With the in-game character reveals we've been getting over the past month all we could gather was that Paragon was a multiplayer game of sorts. Now we know that Paragon, from the developer behind Unreal Tounrament, is a MOBA and headed to PC and PlayStation 4 in 2016, with paid Early Access and an Open Beta expected sometime mid-next year. Running on the latest Unreal Engine 4 it definitely looks impressive. Announcement and gameplay trailer after the jump.
Here's the announcement trailer which looks to have been built using in-game assets via Unreal Engine 4. Set to the epic musical styling of M83 it certainly looks very much like a title from Epic Games. Sci fi? Check. Guns? Check. Impressive environments? Check.
And here's the gameplay trailer, which really does a lot to sell Unreal Engine 4. This is by far the most visually impressive MOBA currently in development. Of which there are many. Paragon doesn't seem to be straying too far from the formula as it will provide 5v5 arena battles with lanes, towers, and minions. Albeit from an up-close-and-personal third-person perspective.
Check out more info on Paragon at the official site, which is also accepting beta sign-ups.
