Warning, it might actually be summer wherever you're reading this. So don't go do something crazy like buying a scarf and matching gloves. Instead take advantage of the numerous deals on offer at GOG.com, the home of classic gaming. The Big Winter Sale begins today with savings of up to 90% on a number of titles. Running through to December 13, to kick things off there are a few pretty enticing Star Wars and LucasArts bundles. Plus, some mystery.

That's right for $4.19 (all prices will be listed in AU), you can basically take a lucky dip and be rewarded with a random game. One that could be worth a lot more than $4.19. An interesting option, and one that nabbed me a copy of King's Bounty: Warriors of the North. Not exactly ideal, but cool non the less.

As for bundles, the Star Wars ones come in two flavours, the Blaster Bundle which includes X-Wing, Tie Fighter, Rebel Assault, Rogue Squadron, and others. And the Saber Bundle which includes every Dark Forces and Jedi Knight title plus Republic Commando and the KOTOR games. The Blaster Bundle can be had for $40.32 whilst the Saber Bundle is a bit cheaper at $31.50.

Probably the best value, in terms of classic '90s LucasArts gaming is the aptly titled LucasArts Classics bundle. Which includes Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Sam & Max Hit the Road, The Dig, Loom, The Secret of Monkey Island, and Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders for $23.70.

There's plenty on sale and in terms of other classic adventures each Tex Murphy game is on sale for $3.49, with the recent Tesla Effect going for $5.59. You can also get some classic Sierra titles like Space Quest I-III and Space Quest IV-VI for $3.49, as well as the superbly weird Police Quest games.

In terms of more recent games, there's Pillars of Eternity: Hero Edition for $25.99, and the Dreamfall Chapters Season Pass for the very reasonable $15.99.

As per the GOG.com promise, all titles come DRM free whilst being optimised to run on modern hardware/operating systems.

Check out all these deals and more at GOG.com.
