Isometric turn based strategy with character development, a sense of progression, and fun and frenetic action. Throw in aliens and you get XCOM, but set it in the past, during the American west, add a demon and supernatural power or two, and you get Hard West. Out now on Steam, Humble Bundle, and GOG.com, this new tactical combat game from Gambitious Digital Entertainment definitely nails the wild west look and feel. But really, XCOM meets the Wild West should be enough to get your attention.

Here's the launch trailer.

You can pick up the game now from Steam, which comes with a special launch discount of 20% (bringing the price down to $15.99 USD). A fair price for a great looking indie title. A price that even James West himself would, emerging from the fog for some reason, approve.
