Which, as corny as that reads, is probably a lot better than Woman vs. Wild, the name of the new video series detailing all the ins and outs of the upcoming game Rise of the Tomb Raider. A title and video series that attempts to mimic the format of survivalist Bear Grills' hit TV series. The one where a man (and sadly, not a bear) is thrust into the wilderness and then forced to eat one of his own carb-rich shoes to survive. All in all it's actually a pretty good fit for the new look Tomb Raider. Plus the video gives us a glimpse at some new game footage and details on the upcoming game.

In Rise of the Tomb Raider it looks like Lara will have to interact with a group of island denizens known as the Remnants, a group of people that seem like the good guys. Which in turn will lead to Lara having to complete tasks for them in order to fit in. Typical tomb pressure type stuff. At least that's the impression we get, because historically speaking running into someone in the Tomb Raider series that wasn't a member of Lara's crew, usually meant that they were crazy. Supernatural crazy, but crazy none the less.

Check out "Episode 1" of Woman vs. Wild below.

Looks cool! Do you know if it will spoil story elements for the game? Or does it just add background/lore?

I think it's a little spoilery to be honest. It shows a lot of the new mechanics and gives away a fair bit of footage of the large open areas to explore. Plus the 'remnant' stuff is probably better left as a surprise. Story stuff is kept under wraps for the most part which is good.
