And you'll need "at least 40 GB of free space". Plus, all the other components that make up a PC. Like a monitor so you can see the game, and speakers or headphones so you can listen to it too. Announced via EA's Origin service we now know what the minimum and recommended PC hardware requirements for Star Wars Battlefront look like -- with all the important CPU, GPU, and RAM requirements detailed.

Minimum PC System Requirements

OS: 64-bit Windows 7 or later
Processor (Intel): Intel i3 6300T or equivalent
Memory: 8GB RAM
Hard Drive: At least 40 GB of free space
Graphics card (NVIDIA): nVidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB
Graphics card (ATI): ATI Radeon HD 7850 2GB
DirectX: 11.0 Compatible video card or equivalent
Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection

Recommended PC System Requirements

OS: 64-bit Windows 10 or later
Processor (Intel): Intel i5 6600 or equivalent
Memory: 16GB RAM
Hard Drive: At least 40 GB of free space
Graphics card (NVIDIA): nVidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB
Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB
DirectX: 11.1 Compatible video card or equivalent
Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection

Now, if looking at the recommended specs makes your water-cooled PC laugh at the paltry numbers being thrown around you're probably going to be fine. But for those of us with GPU's that don't end in 'GTX' now's probably the time to upgrade.

My PC runs it on high 1080p with 45-50 frames okay and I'm running 12gb Ram with a 750ti. Not sure why they recommend such beefy specs, it could scare a few people off.

I'm pretty much at the recommended requirements, a little bit above cos I got a 980gtx recently, but I was still worried I wasn't going to be able to crank it right up since I'm just on the boundary. Ran beautifully though, even with everything cranked right up to Ultra it didn't miss a beat. I dunno exactly what fps I was getting cos I didn't check fps, but it felt really smooth and never dipped down or got chunky even on hoth

I have most settings on ultra aside from post-processing, AO etc and run it 55-60 frames constantly at 2560x1080 and that's on a 960.
specs required are always weird, I take no notice of them for the most part. Pretty funny that this game looks and runs tits while Arkham Knight still dips into sub 40's constantly and looks nowhere near as good.

3570k and 660gtx here. I left it on auto graphics settings which ended up mostly being medium and I was hitting 60-75fps here! Was thoroughly impressed, it was single player mind you but I would think that would affect performance dramatically.

i5, GTX 780, 16GB of RAM, solid 60FPS at 1080p on Ultra. Actually fairly impressive, but I guess it's not exactly the freshest engine?
