In what one assumes must mean 'beta testing', players can sign up now to take part in playing Battleborn before its release in March 2016. All that's required is a Shift account, stating where you're from, and what platform you'd like to play on. The 'Closed Technical Test' will be made available on an unspecified date for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

What's a Battleborn? Well, it's a new game from Gearbox Software and 2K, and the team behind Borderlands. It's a team-based shooter that on paper, with its roster of colourful heroes, make it sound a little like a first-person MOBA. But it will also feature a story-driven campaign and other modes that can be tackled solo or co-operatively.

Here's a glimpse of the game in-action from E3 earlier this year. And to sign up to the beta, err, 'Closed Technical Test', head here.
