November is going to be a big one, absolutely huge. On top of roaming an apocalyptic wasteland, answering calls of duty, raiding tombs, and scouring the skies to take down Imperial fighters, we can now add the epic conclusion to the StarCraft II trilogy to the mix. With a release date firmly set for November 10, and a price point of AU $54.95, Blizzard has also marked the occasion with a look at the explosive opening cinematic to the game. For Aiur!

Is there a Collector's Edition or no?
Posted 04:38pm 14/9/15
Yeah, it sold out a few months back. I missed it too, first Blizzard collector's edition I've missed :(

Damn it you can't even find a listing for it.

Edit: There's literally no images for it either, I see a digital collector's edition but not the box set one?

Edit 2: Found it at ebgames. https://www.ebgames.com.au/pc-202874-Starcraft-II-Legacy-of-the-Void-Collectors-Edition-PC

Multiplayer is still ridiculously unbalanced and stupid by all accounts, but the final product is likely to be a lot different to the beta, even at this fairly late stage.

I still play HOTS multiplayer regularly on NA but I haven't bothered to clock the single player yet. I'd like to play through all three parts from start to finish when this comes out.

Nice! I just ordered one online from EB, thanks for the heads up. Hopefully they're not overselling it and they do actually have copies and it doesn't get to release day and there isn't enough to go around. Blizzard collectors editions are about the only thing I make an exception for when it comes to pre-ordering these days hehe

The story of Starcraft is really where all the Blizzard writing talent goes into - I personally think a Starcraft movie would have been far more compelling than the whatever Warcraft movie could ever be.

I think a lot of the Starcraft hype has been lost kudos to Heart of the Swarm having taken so long to release. Perhaps Blizzard should look into the future of splitting the single player story Starcraft apart from the multiplayer aspect of the game so you don't get they don't run into the situation of balancing problems delaying the single player experience again.

An independent multiplayer Starcraft would also allow for gradual additions so the multiplayer experience is then not bound by Starcraft universe story progression (and to some extent can also play a part by introducing new units to be used in Starcraft stories).
