Nate Lawrence recently had a chance to sit down with BioWare's James Ohlen to talk about the missed expectations of Star Wars: The Old Republic, and how they think the next expansion, Knights of the Fallen Empire, will finally fulfill them.

From Nate's interview feature:
For three years running, The Old Republic cinematic trailers were a highlight of the show, but when the game launched at the end of 2011, it didn’t live up to the evocative promise of the trilogy of mood-piece videos. That’s not just my opinion, either, as BioWare veteran and studio creative director James Ohlen admitted during our interview.

“I really feel that [the Knights of the Fallen Empire DLC] allows all the players who wanted that epic Star Wars story and felt like Star Wars The Old Republic compromised a little bit with some of the grindy elements that you have in an MMO,” said Ohlen. “I feel that those fans are really going to feel that Knights of the Fallen Empire is kind of our love letter to our fans, and fans of Knights of the Old Republic who want something that’s an epic Star Wars story.”
