And, its coming from the studio behind the Total War series, Creative Assembly. For those who may have forgotten, the original Halo Wars was a real-time strategy game for the Xbox 360 set in the Halo universe. And in terms of the sketchy history of 'RTS games made or ported to console' it was one of the good ones. Although we don't get to see footage of the game in action, we do get a nice little teaser trailer.

The sort of trailer that's wall to wall impressive CGI that makes you go, "Oh this is something Halo-related but I wonder what exactly?" Then the trailer ends, but not before a Bam! Halo Wars 2, coming Autumn 2016!

Which is late next year for those of us living in the southern-most hemisphere.
