Another "Inside Rainbow Six Siege" video this week highlights the French counter-terrorism unit GIGN.

It's a bit unfair that Australians share the SAS initialism with the UK, because we tend to miss out on being included in things like this, even though we allegedly have one of the most highly-drilled and trained SAS units in the world.

Today's Rainbow Six Siege video focuses on the French GIGN counter-terrorism unit, which a quick search tells me is an initialism for Groupe d'Intervention de la Gendarmerie Nationale, which was formed in 1973. The Wiki entry also suggests they are "one of the best counter-terrorism units in the world", though a citation is needed there. At any rate, there's a complete video looking at the unit in the context and confines of Ubisoft's new game, which you can check out embedded below.
