Microsoft held its annual E3 conference in the wee early hours of the morning and kicked things off with an extended look at Halo 5: Guardians, due October 27 this year. And, the footage shown definitely looks very Halo. But Halo with a new drop-in and drop-out co-operative campaign campaign across two separate teams of guardians (with one led by Master Chief) and a new multiplayer mode taking place in a large open space, called Warzone.

As per the video below Microsoft and 343 Studios chose an extremely cinematic, if a little dark, section of Halo 5 campaign to demo.

Also, Microsoft showed a separate trailer for the new Warzone mode, which looks fantastic.
