A new video released by Valve shows off its Steam Controller in action. And naturally, it makes it out to look like the best of both worlds. Those worlds of course being the keyboard and mouse control combo favoured by the supreme rulers of all things gaming, PC players, and the thumbstick gamepad business favoured by the lazy good for nothing couch potatoes known as console players.
Although it's hard to make out exactly how the Steam Controller will work based on watching this video, it is good to know that it's all possible thanks to "real-time haptic feedback delivered by twin-force reactors."
No, really.
UPDATE: The Steam Controller is due to be released this November and currently only has the US price point of $50
Show me a video of two professional CS teams one with the steam controller and one with keyboard & mouse.
Obviously this wont replace kb+m but it might be an improvement from the standard two analogue stick controllers that have been standard for years. For when you wanna play some single player games on the couch.
The touchpads seem really big, need to move your thumb a lot to get a full range of movement with them, not sure how awkward that will be or if you'll need to be constantly adjusting your grip on the controller. Thumbsticks need much smaller movements to get the same range of motion, so yeah, I'm still not sure =/ Won't know though till I get my hands on one and try it out I guess

Thanks! Looks a lot like Smash TV, anyone remember playing that? One of the classics in my opinion. I still remember the intro...
"In 1999 the world has adapted to the violent nature of man".
