Blood Bowl was an out-of-left-field (get it?) unique spin on sports and fantasy games with an origin in the table-top space, which definitely resonates with some of us. At least enough that a sequel has been in the works, the first gameplay trailer for which has been made available today, along with an all-new website.

While the turn-based mechanics of a sport like grid iron might not gel with some, it's looking like the sequel is building nicely upon the foundations laid with the first game and looks, again, to not take itself seriously at all.
Blood Bowl 2 is the sequel to Cyanide Studios’ 2009 faithful adaptation of Blood Bowl, American Football uniquely based on the Games Workshop boardgame. Jim and Bob of Cabalvision HD introduce an interactive world of sports, violence, team-management and league tournaments, broadcast across a range of richly detailed stadiums that you upgrade as your team grows more successful, filling your coffers.

WTF. The Gameplay looks like a bunch of random, unconnected actions that make no sense. The nice animated cut scenes are all cool but the gameplay itself look horribly convoluted.

6 month's time, If it isn't $15 a race dlc or a whole new game with bug fixes and 2 NEW playable race's, I'll eat a halfling
