With the newest film soon to be releasing in cinemas across the world, a Fast & Furious standalone expansion tie-in has been announced for racing title Forza Horizon 2 that will arrive on Xbox console next month.
Titled Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious, like other standalone expansions in the past this one won't require the base game to play. “We’ve been talking with the folks at Turn 10 for a number of years and have always wanted to work together,” Bill Kispert, EVP of digital licensing at Universal told the Associated Press.
“It was a matter of schedules, capacity and a film coming together at the right time. It finally has, and we’re excited to collaborate with Turn 10.”
The game will be based before the movie, and will take players to France where they must source cars for Tej Parker. Vehicles featured in the game will be from a variety of the Fast & Furious movies, including the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T driven by Vin Diesel's character along with 1998 Toyota Supra, 1970 Plymouth Road Runner, 2012 Nissan GT-R, 1970 Plymouth Cuda, 2013 Jeep Wrangler, 2014 Maserati Ghibli S and 2015 Dodge Charger.
The expansion will be launching on March 27th for Xbox One and Xbox 360, and will be free up until April 10th to promote the film's release on April 3rd. After then it will run you for $10.
