Sony has begun to celebrate their portable handheld's third birthday, with freebies and discounted games on offer for the PlayStation Vita fans.

Having launched the portable three years ago on February 22nd, 2012, the handheld hasn't exactly hit off like Nintendo's 3DS family. Despite the struggle to gain a hand in the market it hasn't stopped some fabulous games hitting the system, all of which you can find in the blog post here.

As mentioned above, Vita users will be able to pick up a handful of freebies, three to be exact. These include a Toro and Friends theme, a free pack of eight gold coins for Fat Princess: Piece of Cake, and Destiny of Spirits Spirit called Himiko will become available outside of Japan.
