With under a month to go before its debut pilot appears on the PlayStation Store, Sony has offered up an in-depth look into the casting and creation of their comic book-inspired TV series Powers.
Written by famed comic author Brian Michael Bendis and penned by Michael Avon Oeming, both of whom have worked on a number of Marvel comics in their past, the behind-the-scenes look gives us a glimpse into the action-packed world of Powers. Notably, the directors reveal that casting choices for Powers were fuelled not by matching the books' visuals but rather the actual acting.
Set in Los Angeles, Powers focuses on detectives Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim of the Powers unit. Tasked with reigning in any uncooperative powered people, it looks like the job isn't exactly as easy as it sounds, due in part to Walker having lost his own powers some time ago.
Powers will be airing on March 10th for PlayStation Plus members, and will be released on a weekly basis. Check it out below.
