Today's Activision Blizzard quarterly report has revealed that Blizzard's 10-year old MMO World of Warcraft isn't yet ready to kick the bucket, with subscription numbers once again reaching the fabled 10 million count.
After some struggling numbers that saw the MMO drop to
7.4 million subscribers last year, the MMO is now back up thanks in part to the launch of Warlords of Draenor, the nostalgia-fueled expansion that takes players back in time to before the Burning Legion's conquest of Draenor. The expansion adds a number of key mechanical changes and features to the game, including Garrisons and a level cap of 100.
Activision Blizzard's
quarterly report reveals that the expansion sold more than 3.3 million copies during its first 24 hours, a stunning feat for a game now in its tenth year of service.
You can read up on more of what I thought about Warlords of Draenor in
my recent review over here, but better yet let us know in the comments if you are one of the 10 million still playing.

I don't mind garrisons, but then I only really have it on my main and one alt. I just built a storehouse though so I can load my buildings up with 36 work orders a piece then they can run for days without much attention needed.

Hopefully they release 6.1 soon. I want my fixed Ashran.

Is the Ashran pvp area a oceanic instance on our servers? I never got to play it in the beta because it wasn't working then but can we actually pvp in there on 30ms?
