Publisher Warner Bros. has sent word that the action-intense arcade fighter Mortal Kombat X has finally passed the Australian Classification Board, receiving Australia's highest rating for video games, R18+.
The board sites high impact violence, blood and gore and online interactivity in their decision for the R18 rating, which is fair enough considering the game's long-running fatality moves. The high rating choice also means the game hasn't been outright banned, meaning the game should be intact with no changes needed.
For a look at just what kind of fatalities you can expect from NetherRealm's tenth title in the mainline series, check out American funnyman Conan O'Brien's recent Clueless Gamer piece for an early glimpse. Be warned though, they are quite brutal.
Mortal Kombat X will be released in Australia on April 15th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

Wonder if they'll do another special edition with a custom stick. Now that its actually coming out here, we might actually get it if they do.
