Electronic Arts has confirmed during their Q3 2015 earnings call that two big franchises from the publisher's IP stables are on track for 2015 releases.
Last October we saw EA tweet that Battlefront would be available in holiday 2015, and today the publisher confirmed that the game would be out before Christmas, and would "be aligned with the Star Wars movie rollout," which is scheduled to release in theaters on December 18th. Battlefield developer DICE has been working on the highly anticipated reboot, but little has been revealed about the game since the E3 2014 teaser trailer.
A new Need For Speed title for consoles and PC was also confirmed for a 2015 release. Last May, EA announced that the long-running racing franchise would be skipping a 2014 installment after more than 10 years of annual releases, but that the IP is now back in rotation.
No further details were revealed for either title, but given the time frame EA is aiming for, we suspect we'll see and hear more about both at E3, along with a few more surprises most likely.
