The talent behind games like Battlefield, Medal of Honor, and Lost Planet has formed a new studio, Fugitive Games.
Former DICE developers Ben Jones and Marc Janas teamed up with Spark Unlimited devs Alden Fillion and Roy Orr on an open-world, space survival simulation game titled Into The Stars.
Inspired by games like FTL and Out There, Into The Stars is said to be a "modern version" of The Oregon Trail. Players will assume the role of Captain as they outfit a ship, choose a crew, and survive alien forces in their quest to a find a "new home for humanity." The game will feature an original score from Mass Effect and Call of Duty composer Jack Wall.
In order to finish the project, Fugitive Games is looking to raise $85,000
on Kickstarter.
Into The Stars is set to launch for PC and Mac in July 2015. You can check out the Kickstarter pitch below.
