The Game Awards has topped its show with an exclusive look at the next iteration in the iconic Legend of Zelda series for Wii U, showing off the expansive world players will be venturing in.
While not giving away too much on what we can expect from Zelda for Wii U, what Nintendo did show was that the world of Hyrule will be an extremely open one. Creators Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma revealed the gameplay, with added commentary to explain just what the game will entail.
Shown in the off-screen gameplay snippet was that players will be able to enjoy full mounted combat without worrying about where Link's horse, Epona, will be heading thanks to automatic movement. You'll still be able to direct Epona of course, but for times where you'll need to be swinging your sword or firing the bow you'll be able to do just that. Link will also have the chance to throw himself off his horse, and shoot down at enemies as he falls to the ground.
GamePad integration includes being able to aim with the bow, map integration and of course menu interaction. Check it out below and expect The Legend of Zelda for Wii U in 2015.

A great example is 3D World. Few months before release at E3 it looked like crap, fast forward to a month before launch and it looked absolutely fantastic. Definitely helps to keep expectations intact when it comes to game development.

It was in Twilight Princess and I'm pretty sure the same for Skyward Sword. Btw I mean motion controls so referring to both IR and gyro.
