World of Warcraft's newly released expansion World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor saw model upgrades to the majority of the MMO's original races, and now Blizzard Entertainment has revealed its work in progress on one of the remaining races - the blood elf.

The latest Battle.net blog post reveals what we can expect the new models for both male and female blood elves to look like; the differences are subtle, but both appear to be slightly more muscular.

"We’re aware that it’s not ideal to see a mix of older player character models next to newer player character models, especially when you happen to be a player of the Blood Elf variety," says Blizzard, "and we’re working as diligently to remedy that situation as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality."

Blizzard doesn't have an exact date for when these new blood elves will appear in game, but hopes to "roll these out quickly."
