2K and Turtle Rock Studios has today announced an alpha test for Evolve that will run from October 30th through to November 2nd.

Dubbed the ‘Big Alpha’, it will be available first on Xbox One, starting on October 30th. Limited access to the closed alpha test will also be available on PlayStation 4 and PC from October 31st. Each will conclude on November 2nd.

Currently only the Xbox One registrations are open at this time, so if you have the Microsoft console head to the official website here for instructions.

"The incredible reactions from early Evolve players have exceeded our highest expectations, but we still have a lot of hard work ahead of us in the coming months,” said Chris Ashton, co-founder and design director at Turtle Rock Studios. “We need to stress test the servers and the matchmaking system, look at balance, unlock rates, etc. The alpha test is not fully representative of the final product, but it’s our chance to see what the game looks like in the real world, and we will test again in the open beta for Evolve exclusively for Xbox One in January 2015. The data gathered in the tests will help make Evolve the best that it can possibly be when it launches on February 10, 2015.”

2K and Turtle Rock have confirmed that those who have already pre-ordered Evolve from participating retailers, and any who pre-order it in the coming weeks, will be guaranteed access to the alpha test on their preferred platform. Those that pre-order will also receive Evolve’s Monster Expansion Pack, which will feature a fourth playable monster, for free once it becomes available following the game’s launch.

AusGamers was lucky enough to be offered a code from 2K Australia for our readers to use for a chance to gain access to the alpha. That code is 08347-97365-66457 and you'll need to enter referral code EVOLVETOWIN.
