4J Studios, the developer handling ports of Mojang's extremely popular sandbox title Minecraft, has announced
through their Twitter that we can expect the PlayStation Vita version to hit the platform next week, on October 15th to be exact.
The portable version has had a bit of trouble getting its feet on the ground since the announcement way back at E3, having faced some troublesome certification issues last month that delayed it. While the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions were able to get out in September, sadly PlayStation Vita fans had to wait, teary eyed and looking up at 4J Studios asking for more info. Well the days of waiting have come to an end.
A new trailer celebrating the upcoming launch was also shared, which you can check above in the tweet.
Minecraft is currently available in some form on PC, Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox ONe and Xbox 360. PlayStation Vita will be the newest counterpart to the extremely successful title, which has surpassed the 50 million sold mark.
