Upcoming sci-fi MMO Skyforge will feature alien invasions, the consequences of which may affect an entire server.

Stating that the alien events will affect all players, developer My.com today confirmed that whilst the fear of invasion will be a constant threat, there will be sizeable benefits to defeating the extraterrestrial challenges.

Players will be notified of the invasions through the game's Divine Observatory warning system. Upon defeating the invading masses and gathering up "valuable" dropped loot, players will have the opportunity to board enemy vessels and traverse traps and creatures to reach an alien god. Staying alive and defeating these alien enemies - not to mention the alien boss - will reap "huge rewards and recognition".

Top alien slayers will subsequently access a championship match, a special raid adventure to glean bonus rewards with improved, stronger avatars. The outcome of these battles will impact upon the entire Skyforge world, including temporary reward increases for all playing on the same server as victorious players.
