It feels like only yesterday that we were talking about the resurgence of arena shooters, and so it comes as no surprise to announce another arena FPS looking for your attention has sprouted up, this time from Melbourne-based studio Turbo Pixel.

The title of the game is Reflex, and rightfully so when you check out the Kickstarter pitch below. The team has promised a blend of "modern tech with the speed, precision and freedom of a 90s shooter," and no doubt that should get some old timers turning their heads.

As mentioned, the studio has taken their hard work to Kickstarter to seek funding of $360,000, and at the time of writing they've accomplished $33,434 so far. You can check out all the planned gameplay features over at the Kickstarter campaign, including the various pledge tiers as well.

One thing is definitely clear; between this, Toxikk, the Unreal Tournament remake and the re-release of Quake Live, it's a good time to be an arena shooter fan.

Looks cool but it's not that different to Warsow really. Looks fun though.

My brother showed me this yesterday, as I know Ben, and my brother went to Uni with him, and the whole way through watching the demo I could only shake my head in pity at this. In almost everything seen it was just CPMA/QW, right down to it showing q3jdma1.

I really hope this doesn't get funded - if you want to create something that's a direct rip-off, do it as a hobby. Getting funded/paid to do it is bulls***.
