It seems Battlefield: Hardline won't be limiting player interactions just to the city bounds, with a new gameplay trailer introducing the car-themed Hotwire mode that will have players jump into high speed car chases as they spray bullets at each other in a hope of getting away safely.
"Whether you’re the cops or the criminals, the goal in Battlefield Hardline’s Hotwire mode is to get to the marked cars and drive fast," reads the YouTube description. "This is high speed chases like you’ve never seen before on the streets of Battlefield." According to the game's mode description on the
official website, criminal will be tasked with stealing a list of marked cars, all while trying to avoid the cops who look to be excused of any weapon limitations.
Watching the video, it definitely looks like some intense action, and from a glance the mode supports quite a large number of players and all kinds of vehicles to utilise in a given situation. Players will also find themselves able to trek on foot, though with high-speed action you'll probably not want to be on your feet for long.
Check it out below, and let us know your thoughts on the game's quite departed take on typical Battlefield experiences in the comments. Battlefield: Hardline will be available early 2015 on PC, PLayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One
