Elite: Dangerous has already captured me in its gorgeous galactic sandbox, but for those who may not have paid for the right Kickstarter tier or opted in to one of their post-Kickstarter backer options will be glad to hear that developer Frontier Developments has now announced a nice round $60 price tag for the game come its launch later this year.

Those looking to pre-order the game and save a little cash can pick up the day-one Mercenary Edition for $50. This version will include the base game, as well as a second Eagle fighter ship in another in-game location, an exclusive pack of paint schemes, a 'Day One' decal, a digital players guide, a digital concept art book, and other unannounced goodies.

Elite: Dangerous is scheduled for launch come Q4 2014 on PC and Mac. Pre-order enquiries can be directed to their official website, and you can also check out their latest TV spot below for a glimpse at the absolutely beautiful skybox that this game holds.
