Rush the gates and roll those toons because you gotta get the best hardcore farmland, am I right?

After a brief technical delay, ArcheAge's head start has now gone live for founders. Trion says that the servers are up and ready for the influx of players. Your server choices are...
North America: Aranzeb, Naima, Kyrios, Ollo, Tahyang, Salphira
Europe: Shatigon, Kyprosa, Eanna, Dahuta
There is no wipe planned for the head start, so get working on the many open-world aspects of ArcheAge. You can still nab a founders pack on the official site for $49.99-$149.99, depending on your tier. All three come with the four-day patron head start access.

After the four-day head start the game will open up to all players, with the free-to-play game offering a mostly cosmetic-only shop to balance out the free subscription.

Just to add a little:

Unofficial oceanic servers are Kyrios and Ollo.

Apparently Kyrios is going to be the try hard server, while Ollo will be for more casual players (not sure how exactly, that's just the way I've seen everyone describing it. Am assuming it is in relation to guilds and where they're going).

Currently typing this while there is a 58 minute queue ;_;

::EDIT::

Make sure that you don't crash on first load in because the queue won't save your place if you have to close the process with task manager...

Yeah I am gonna give this a try when f2p players can play. The crafting and farming stuff sounds cool in theory, not sure how it will be in practice. Especially the labour point system.

It is actually extremely well balanced, with no real "pay2win" in sight. Just waiting for launch as I'm too poor right now to grab founder pack.

2.5 hour queues on the unofficial oceanic servers Kyrios and Ollo during pre-launch. Free to play people will be queued behind paying customers aka Patrons.

Forget land for housing or farming, it's all already taken. They might add servers but I doubt it.

I really do need to upgrade my system. I sit in line for 1.5 hours then after playing for about 20 minutes i blue screen and reboot then its back to another hour + queue. Youd think after so many mmos in the past decade companies would know that the opening crush requires that you have enough servers to cope.

Of course i dont blame them for my systems short comings but constant hour long queues is a f*****g joke.

(Edit) just crashed again for the 4th time today and now i am back into an hour and a half queue. I think in total i have been in queue for about 6-7 hours today.

Well they don't want to just roll new servers out because of high queues on launch, we've seen MMOs do that before and those servers die in the ass come two to three months after launch when the dust settles. WoW has just that problem with a high amount of dead servers leftover original/BC launch, as did WildStar. Trion are working on a queue saver so hopefully we'll see that soon.

In terms of land being taken already, that will disappear if they don't actually build a house/pay tax. Also I watched my friend playing last night and outside of the starting zone the land is super empty.

I tried for a while to find a plot to put down a small scarecrow but had no luck. I have seen tons of people blowing up about housing space ect. I am a little concerned but given my lack of experience in the game and my system issues getting land is the least of my worries atm.

Eorl - Where the hell was your friend playing?

He can't of been on the Oceanic servers, because (at least on the western continent), I've not even found a single block for a small scarecrow, let alone enough to build a large house.

Entire CLANS went out and land-grabbed (I consider it an exploit, really) entire zones and either kept them for themselves or are reselling for ridiculous amounts of gold.

They should make it cost a wood-pack to build the frame first up, so you have to invest something to take over land, rather than just throwing down a scarecrow and a house foundation and having that land locked up for ages.

Also, the "throw s*** anywhere" way of building has lead to sooooo much wasted space, it's actually kind of annoying.

Well, given that was yesterday it probably has filled up quite rapidly. I guess we'll see if Trion has mechanics in place to stop the congestion.

Yep thats what i have seen as well, nowhere to put a plot down yet plenty of wasted space between farms. I have also seen a metric f*** ton of people blowing up about the opening land grab. Its pretty much shut mpst people out of having land and a house unless they have some crazy amount of gold.

I shouldnt be surprised though since asian mmo's tend to lend themselves to players scaming and gouging other players. It them its just part of the game.
