That feature length film based on Capcom's Dead Rising games looks to still be happening as director Zach Lipovsky has now reportedly been attached to the project (thanks VG247).

Best known for the new horror film Leprechaun: Origins, Lipovsky's background is in visual effects. Mortal Kombat: Legacy writer Tim Carter was previously announced as handling the script, and Legendary Pictures still appears to be planning a straight to digital release by way of the Crackle video on demand service.
