In just a few days old-school gamers can get their N64 on at Press Play at Spectrum on Oxford Street in Sydney, with a Mario Kart 64 tournament. The event will also host live art and DJs, and encourages people to cosplay in retro gaming style for a chance to win prizes.

Entry is $12 which covers free pizza and a beverage upon entry (for the first 100 peeps), with doors opening at the ripe time of 8pm.

Always great to see gaming-themed nights like this happening - let us know if you plan on heading down in the Comments section.

Personally I don't think nightclubs and gaming go so hand in hand.
