Long-time developer Double Fine has announced that its next indie partnership, aiming its publishing sights on multiplayer brawler Gang Beasts.

Having been available as a pre-alpha download for some time now, Double Fine has noted in their announcement that the game from UK-based studio Boneloaf will be heading to Steam Early Access on August 29th. Taking a leaf out of titles like Double Dragon and Streets of Rage, Gang Beasts offers a whole fistful of hilarious Play-Doh-like fun, with up to four players able to take to the various battle arenas.

For more on Gang Beasts, head over to their IndieDB section, which includes the latest pre-alpha download for PC. Do note that you'll be needing controllers to actually play the game, as you can imagine the chaos if it was keyboard based.
