Nintendo and Koei Tecmo's Legend of Zelda meets Dynasty Warriors mashup has been given the Nintendo Direct treatment today, offering a lengthy glimpse into maps, modes, items and all the playable characters available.

Alongside various gameplay clips sewn together, the livestream also gave a quick glimpse at each of the characters playable in Hyrule Warriors, including the iconic Link and Zelda plus their movesets as well. Villains from the Zelda series were also confirmed to be playable including Zant, Ganondorf and Ghirahim. The new Adventure Mode was also discussed in the livestream, with Koei noting that the mode will be a twist on the classic top-down style of the first few original Zelda's.

As with most modern titles these days, exclusive pre-order DLC was also revealed towards the end of the livestream, which will include set costume pieces for specific characters. Nintendo Club fans will also be offered a free Ganondorf costume piece when the game is released. Check out the livestream in full over at Nintendo's website.

Hyrule Warriors will be available exclusively on Wii U come September 26th.
