Those who have been holding out on picking up Blizzard's latest two titles in the new StarCraft 2 series won't have to worry about steep pricing now, with the developer today announcing price drops on both the original StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty and its expansion, Heart of the Swarm.
Heading over to the Battle.net shop greets players with the lovely price tag of $24.95 for both Wings of Liberty and its Zerg-infused expansion Heart of the Swarm. If that doesn't do it for you, Heart of the Swarm's Digital Deluxe Edition has also been slashed down to the low price of $34.95 (owners of the Standard Edition get a reduced price).
Potential zerg rushers need not worry about the prices going back up however, with Blizzard's StarCraft II Community Manager Zoevia confirming
on Reddit that the price drop on the StarCraft series is a more long-lasting effect. "This is a permanent drop in the price for both Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm."
