EA has cycled its generous "On the House" promotion again, now offering the addictive puzzler Peggle completely free to Origin PC and Mac users for a limited time.

As with previous Origin giveaways, there's no catch (unless you consider registering an Origin account to be a perilous activity), EA's intention is presumably just to get more people using its distribution platform.

Peggle can be had for $0 and will be retained in your Origin account permanently. Head over to origin.com for more details.

To hell with the free game if it requires Origin, Even if it was a more interesting game I'd prefer paying for it on Steam or even better a DRM Free version.
