Sony revealed and demonstrated LittleBigPlanet 3 running on PlayStation 4 console during its E3 2014 media briefing last week, but the game is reportedly in the works for its older platform too.

Although the publisher has yet to make any formal announcements, LittleBigPlanet Community Coordinator Steven Isbell responded to several fan tweets unambiguously confirming a previous gen version (thanks CVG):
@rialrees @hyperdude53 @LBPookachoo @antikris77 @bioswoop LBP3 will also be available on PS3. We will have more news on that later. :).— Steven Isbell (@StevenIsbell) June 10, 2014
LBP 3 was touted as running at 1080p on the PS4 which the PS3 would likely have trouble achieving with the same geometry detail.
