Nestled among the many other EA Sports titles on show at EA's E3 2014 press conference, the publisher revealed the next iteration in its long running Golfing franchise with EA Sports PGA Tour.

Not only does the game appear to have shed the annualised title, but there's a distinct lack of Tiger Woods, the disgraced sports celebrity whose name had been synonymous with the games since 1999.

EA also appears to be trying to make Golf a little more exciting this time around too, describing the game as "Golf without limits" and showing footage of a golf course created out of Battlefield 4's Paracel Storm map, complete with a flaming drive over a burning battleship. What?
