Microsoft has announced during their E3 2014 conference that open-world racing game Forza Horizon 2 will be launching on September 30th for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
The title is in-development at Forza Horizon developer Playground Games, who will be handling the Xbox One version in collaboration with Forza Motorsport developer Turn 10 Studios. he Xbox 360 version is being handled separately by Sumo Digital, using Forza Horizon 1's graphics engine as a baseline.
Forza Horizon 2 will be set in southern Europe, and will feature hundreds of cars including the a yellow 2015 Lamborghini Huracán that graces the upcoming game's cover. The Drivatar system, which learns how players drive and creates AI versions of drivers, will make the leap to the Horizon franchise with Forza Horizon 2. Drivatar debuted with Forza Motorsport 5 on Xbox One last year. A long-awaited weather system will also be making its debut in Forza Horizon 2.
