Blizzard has begun the rollout of limited alpha testing invitations to players, allowing the lucky selected to participate in World of Warcraft's fifth expansion, Warlords of Draenor.

The alpha testing was announced in early April, however Blizzard are only just now inviting players to test out the new content. The rather early alpha phase will allow players to focus on the Horde experience in Frostfire Ridge, described as "a harsh land of ceaseless winter and volcanic peaks." Lucky entrants will gain access to an appropriate geared level 90 Horde character, with more content and features being added as the game progresses.

Unlike past World of Warcraft alpha testings, Blizzard has given the greenlight to discussing and sharing screenshots of the Warlords of Draenor alpha, including the ability to stream video footage. A number of users are already showcasing the game on popular streaming site Twitch.tv, so if you don't happen to have an invite you can always just watch someone play.

World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor will be out sometime this year, and is set to overhaul a large chunk of the game including new racial models, item stat squishing, facial emotes and numerous content changes that would be far too long to list.
