Killzone: Shadow Fall's upcoming expansion, Intercept, will be pushing for more teamwork to achieve goals, according to a recent interview with lead designer Arjan Bak on the PlayStation Blog.

In Intercept, players will be placed on the elite VSA team in squads of up to four as they attempt to retrieve intel from behind enemy lines while fighting them off at the same time. According to Bak, this new expansion will push more teamwork onto players as they both fight their way through the hordes of enemies and succeed in uploading important Helghast military transmissions back to VSA headquarters.

"With a new teamwork-oriented game mode, four distinct Combat Roles, four new arena maps, and a unique set of bonuses that include the jetpack, Intercept adds a whole new dimension to the Killzone Shadow Fall experience," describes the blog post.

Intercept will be available as a part of the Killzone: Shadow Fall season pass, as well as a fully compatible stand-alone that won't require the original game to play.
