With a new Battlefield game on the horizon, many concerned gamers have turned their attention to the current Battlefield 4 title by developer DICE, which many believe is still in need of updating and feel that a new Battlefield title may be "too soon" from the last release. Luckily, DICE has today come out and confirmed that support for Battlefield 4 will still continue.
"We've always dared to try new settings and experiences with Battlefield and seeing this new one take shape is a long lasting dream come true," writes DICE VP Karl Magnus Troedsson on the
Battlefield blog. "That said, I want to be sure you all understand that introducing Hardline in no way means we're done working on Battlefield 4." With how the playerbase has reacted since its launch back in October, it is pretty clear that DICE haven't stopped working on the Battlefield 4.
While Visceral Games'
Battlefield: Hardline may be approaching soon, Troedsson has stated that DICE are working on a "major" update to Battlefield 4's netcode, something that has been the hot topic in the community for quite awhile now. "We also continue to work hard to keep investing in areas where you tell us you see opportunities for improvements and new features. Yes, we're very excited to partner with Visceral on the development of Battlefield Hardline, but ongoing work to refine and enhance BF4 remains a top priority."
What are your thoughts on Battlefield 4? Do you think it is "too soon" to have another Battlefield makes it way onto the market? Let us know in the comments!

Also, with the likes of Valve, and Blizzard I think PC gamers expect more than our console counterparts who are happy to just lap up the yearly release cycle of games BS.

Battlefield Hardline is developed by Visceral, so why wouldn't DICE continue to support BF4.
Also DICE L.A are doing the last 2 DLCs.
Most likely DICE (Sweden) are working on Battlefront.
Also not surprising that DICE are working on deploying changes for BF4 - most likely the changes being tested in the community test environment (CTE) at the moment

Right now BF3 is being offered for free on Origin. You can bet I don't give a damn about it they can keep their free offering. I'm not going crazy now to install that trash just because BF3 is free for a short time.

Pretty much this. Formatted recently and haven't installed Origin. It feels like I've had a cancerous testicle removed. Better.

I haven't played BF since BF2, but I don't see many other games that offer the same experience (bugs and issues aside)

This is personally why it frustrates me so much. Nothing really. ARMA doesn't feel fast enough to be fun in my books.
It's like Test Drive Unlimited. Fully open game world, cruise about and as people nearby are located within the server it links you together. So it's a semi MMO driving game. Lets you belt around with up to 8 others over a few thousand k's and after half an hour of staring at the screen at 250km/h+ it's immersive as all f***.
Oh, but people constantly lose sync, even if locked to your session. Oh, and your save game randomly corrupts and you lose everything to the point where you have to make a new email address to sign up again. Oh, and the sequel had the same problem. A good idea ruined by s***** code.
