Funcom has released a new trailer today detailing one of the many worlds players will be able to explore in its upcoming MMORPG Lego Minifgures Online — a medieval world of castles and dragons.

The trailer details the villain of these "evil times in our medieval times," Elementius the Pieromancer, who terrorizes the citizens of the Lego world from his dark tower. Players will come up against his minions as well as fairies, trolls and magic on their quest to capture the sorcerer and protect the king.

Last month, developer Funcom announced it had secured a $1.6 million investment for the development of LEGO Minifigures Online, which is set for an Open Beta launch in June. Those wanting to join in on the brick block fantasy can sign up through the official website.

LEGO Minifigures Online is scheduled for launch later this year on PC and mobile devices.
