The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, an upcoming horror exploration game from developer The Astronauts, will launch in about four months for PC, co-creator Adrian Chmielarz has told Eurogamer.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter follows detective Paul Prospero as he investigates the disappearance and murder of a boy named Ethan Carter. Players gather clues from the game's environment with the help of Paul's supernatural ability to see the final moments of a victim's life. The estimation places the game's launch in the fall — the same timeframe The Vanishing of Ethan Carter takes place in.

While the game is currently schedule for launch on PC first, Chmielarz has stated that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are the obvious choice post-launch. "It would be idiotic not to, to be honest," Chmielarz said.
