Dying Light developer Techland has today announced that the zombie first-person open-world survival title has been delayed into 2015, with the expected date now sometime during February.

Citing further development time needed, the developer has noted that none of the five platforms - PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One - will be dropped due to the delay, instead gaining further improvements. The team also note that the new date "ensures that we can fully realize our vision of an innovative open-world game."

"We won’t need to make compromises or trade-offs on any of the five platforms we’re working on. For you, it means an outstanding, original game that makes the wait more than worthwhile."

Hopefully we can expect more to be seen at E3 this year, so stay tuned.

This is promising. I didn't think Central European devs knew how to delay their products.

I for one appreciate game delays. I have so many games in my steam library that I haven't played yet, I need to catch up lol
