Open-world survival adventure Don't Starve has just been treated to its very first DLC expansion, Reign of Giants, expanding upon the game's already vast amount of eerie content, developer Klei Entertainment announced today.

Among the addition of new creatures, seasons and biomes, the new DLC also adds two playable characters to survive the harsh wintry days - Wigfrid, a stage actress who went a bit too far with method acting; and Webber, a young boy who lives inside the spider who tried to eat him long ago. The expansion is also inclusive of a new save slot and a year-round starvation that utilises the new seasons.

The Reign of Giants DLC is available directly through Steam, and is currently 10 percent off the regular price at $4.50. The game, plus the expansion, is only $9.50.
