Developer Supergiant Games revealed today that Transistor, an action RPG starring your usual protagonist with a gigantic sword, will be making its way to PC and PlayStation 4 come May 20th.

Creators of Bastion, Supergiant unveiled Transistor last year, inviting "players to wield an extraordinary weapon of unknown origin as they explore a stunning futuristic city” in an action RPG. Red, the heroine of the game, controls the titular Transistor, and she is on a mission to figure out the weapon's mysteries as well as find the people who tried to kill her with it.

Those attending PAX East this weekend in America will be able to get a more hands-on approach to the game, however creative director of Supergiant, Greg Kasavin, says there will be "more details about Transistor in the days leading up to our launch next month."

Transistor will be available at a price tag of $20 on both PC and PlayStation 4.
